First of all, sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been super busy with real life. I know, real life is dumb, but whatcha gonna do?
So without further adieu, I present....
This handbook entry first appeared in the March 1985 issue of Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe. The issue number (or volume number as it states on the cover) is #1. Yes, the very first issue of Who's Who.
Alley-Kat-Abra would later become quite a controversial character, due to the events of Teen Titans Vol.3, #s 30 and 31, but I'll let you find out for your self what I mean by that, either by reading the issues, or by waiting for my review of the story (which should hit the blog some time in 2040 at the rate I'm churning them out). Abra's status quo would be returned to normal in Captain Carrot and the Final Ark #1, so don't panic.
Here's the cover. Where's Alley-Kat-Abra?
Oh, look! That Aquadude guy is on there, too. Almost didn't notice him. ;)

Something NOT Captain Carrot related.
Yeah yeah, I know. You come for the Carrot. Well, too bad! My little comic book character, Bounty Hunter...well, his first issue is almost ready to go, and I decided it was worth posting on the Burrow. However, I'm slow, and you still have a bit of a wait. I'm hoping for a February 2013 release date. Keep your fingers crossed.
He should also be appearing soon in an issue of War of the Independents. I'm guessing he'll be in #6 of that series, which currently is only three issues in.
Here's the cover for Bounty Hunter #0, which was done for me by Ken Haeser and Buz Hasson from over at Dynamite Entertainment's The Living Corpse (soon to be a motion picture). And yes, Bounty Hunter has already appeared in an issue of The Living Corpse: Exhumed. Number 2 to be exact. Hope you managed to snag an issue. It might be a collector's item someday, considering it's BH's First Appearance. :P
And before you ask, yes that is Warrior Nun Areala on the cover with Bounty Hunter. Thanks to Ben Dunn for letting me use her.

Captain Carrot Fan Art: Artist Unknown
Found this fantastic piece of Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew art sitting around in the deep, dark depths of my hard drive today. Sadly, I have no idea who the artist is. If anybody out there has any clue as to the artist's identity, please contact me. It looks like his name might be written on the lower right-hand side of the page, but I can't make it out.
Not sure if this is a spoof of another, more famous DC cover or not. The layout of the page screams Crisis on Infinite Earths to me. And I like that Swamp Thing is there in the lower left-hand corner, but why is he there? No idea. Not complaining, mind you. It does have me intrigued, though.
