He didn't.
But, he informed me, Keith G. Baker did. And that's who Shag had gotten all his cool screen-grabs from. So I facebooked Keith and asked him nicely if he could do the same for me. And thankfully, he happily agreed.
So here we go. Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure is one in a series of games that 5th Cell has put out. It is available for purchase now on PC, the WiiU and the Nintendo 3DS (which is the version I finally managed to track down). The game is set in the DC Universe and features hundreds of your favorite characters, heroes and villains alike. Imagine my shock and happiness to hear that Captain Carrot and the gang had made the cut.
But enough of my babbling. Let's roll on the screen shots, courtesy of Keith.
And there you have the original Zoo Crew as they appear in Scibblenauts: Unmasked. But wait! There are a few more Captain Carrot related characters to be found in the game.
Is that it? Well, not really. We've got ONE MORE.
Yup, that's right. Batmouse. Both Keith and I couldn't quite figure out why Batmouse has an entry but yet,the other Just'a Lotta Animals characters do not. Oh well, maybe in an update. (Do 3DS games even have updates?) But really, no Super-Squirrel? And I really was hoping Firestork would be in there. Come on!
And no Earth-C villains to be seen either. No Frogzilla, no Wuz-Wolf, no nothin'. But you know what? I'm okay (kind of) with that. I'm just happy to see the Zoo Crew getting its due. Besides, I guess we can count these two shady bastards as Captain Carrot villains that are in the game:
Well, there you have it. I'd like to thank Keith once again, both for taking the time to grab these pics for me, and for looking through the game to find as many Earth-C characters as he could. Since I bought the game, I have done my own painstaking search trying to find something he may have missed, but he got them all. Thanks also to Shag for steering in me Keith's direction.
And overall, the game itself is pretty fun. Go pick up a copy today. Here's the website again, in case you're too lazy to scroll back to the top. Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure
Oh, and I made it a whole year (today, by the way. I will accept cash in lieu of presents) and this blog hasn't exploded in my face yet. I've made a bunch of new friends, most of whose websites are posted on the right-hand side of the page and a few whose aren't. I'd like to thank EVERYBODY who has contributed, or hassled me to write something, or mentioned me on their site or podcast, or just plain old stopped by to call me names. I love you all! Platonically, I mean!
Most important of all, I survived Captain K'Rot!!!
What's in store for Year Two of Captain Carrot's Burrow?
No clue. Maybe I'll actually get around to reviewing the comics? Maaaaaaybe.....
Keep on Crewzin! Year One has been great!
Congrats on a whole year of continued blogging! We love having you in the Justice League of Bloggers! Now we're ready for your "terrible twos"!! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteHopefully they won't be too terrible. :)
ReplyDeleteThe reason Batmouse is the only Earth-C-Minus JLAer listed is probably because of DC's tunnel-visioned excessive reliance these days on Batman (well over a third of their New 52 books are Batman-related somehow by my count...plus the endless Batman TV shows/movies/etc.). Thus, I'm not surprised...
ReplyDeleteAnd belated congrats on your anniversary!
Thanks Anthony. And I agree. It is probably DC's over reliance on Batman that got Batmouse into the game.
